Internal Compliance Program (ICP)

        According to the announcement of the Ministry of Commerce on the determination of dual-use goods as goods requiring permission
and the determination of compliance with the regulatory measures for exporting outside the Kingdom B.E. 2558.

        On the determination of domestic measures to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and related materials
and equipment, including the control of dual-use items or other related goods as goods requiring permission for export and
the determination of compliance with the regulatory measures for exporting outside the Kingdom.

        Okamoto (Thai) Co., Ltd. has therefore adopted the policy of the Ministry of Commerce on measures for the benefit
of controlling products related to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction to develop the ICP system for use in the organization.


Dual-use items

        “Dual-use items” means a product that can be used commercially and military by design, development, production,
use, modify, store, transport , support or do anything to obtain weapons of mass destruction (WMD) .

        A weapon of mass destruction (WMD) is a nuclear, radiological, chemical, biological or other weapon that can kill or
cause serious damage to living beings, buildings, and the environment on a wide scale.

For example:

    - Carbon fiber is a material used in the production of tennis rackets, golf clubs, and other sports equipment, while also
    being used to produce missile parts.

    - Viruses can be used to produce serum but can also be used to produce biological weapons.

    - Potassium cyanide can be used to clean metals or extract ores but can also be used to produce chemical weapons.

    - Fermenters can be used in the food industry, such as wine and beer production, and in the production of medicines and
    vaccines, while also being used to produce germs and toxins.
